Last updated: April 4, 2026. BonusAgent.ai ("we," "us," "our") operates this service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the service, and technical information needed to operate securely.
Account information
When you create an account, our authentication provider Clerk processes sign-in credentials. We receive only the identifiers needed to connect your account to our application, such as your account ID and email address if shared with our app. We do not receive or store your password.
Profile and preferences
We store information you choose to provide to personalize recommendations and planning features, such as your state, monthly income, pay frequency, experience level, and bonus preferences.
Bonus planning and history
We store bonuses you schedule, dates you enter, eligibility details, and bonus history you manually enter or upload so we can help you track eligibility and avoid recommending offers that may not fit repeat-eligibility rules.
Optional contact information
If reminders are enabled and you choose to provide a phone number or email address, we use that information only for transactional reminders related to your scheduled bonuses or account activity.
Subscription information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by our payment providers Stripe and PayPal. We do not store full payment card numbers. We may store subscription status, billing provider, and transaction identifiers.
Technical and security data
We collect standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and security-related events to operate the service, detect abuse, and protect accounts.
Optional Uploads and AI-Assisted Parsing
If you use optional spreadsheet or CSV upload features to import bonus history, limited file content may be securely sent to Anthropic to extract structured information such as institution names, product names, dates, and bonus amounts.
We limit file size and rows sent where practical and only use this processing to provide the upload feature. We store only the structured results needed for your account where possible.
We do not use your personal information to train our own artificial intelligence systems or third-party models.
How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide and improve BonusAgent.ai features, including rankings, scheduling, dashboards, and reminders
- Authenticate users and maintain account security
- Process subscriptions and account status
- Respond to support requests
- Detect fraud, abuse, or misuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
Communications
We may send you transactional messages related to your account, such as bonus reminders, security alerts, or account status updates. These are not promotional and are part of the Service.
We do not send promotional or marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in. You can manage your communication preferences through your account settings or by contacting Support.
Service Providers
We use service providers that process information only as needed to help operate the service. Examples include:
- Clerk for authentication and account management (privacy policy)
- Vercel for application hosting (privacy policy)
- Neon for database hosting (privacy policy)
- Stripe and PayPal for subscription billing (Stripe privacy and PayPal privacy)
- Twilio for SMS reminders when enabled (privacy policy)
- Anthropic for optional upload parsing (privacy policy)
We may also disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or system integrity.
Cookies and Tracking
We use necessary cookies and similar technologies to operate the service, including for authentication sessions and security. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as there is no industry-wide standard for handling them. If a standard is adopted, we will update this section.
Sign-In and Passwords
Authentication is handled by Clerk. We do not store your password. Clerk's handling of authentication data is governed by its own privacy practices.
Retention and Deletion
We keep information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.
Some records, such as bonus history and scheduled bonuses, remain in your account until you delete them or your account is removed. Operational logs such as rate-limiting and security event records are retained for a limited period and then automatically removed.
If you delete your account through your authentication settings or request deletion through Support, we will delete or anonymize associated application data. This includes removing your profile, bonus history, scheduled bonuses, and related records from our database. Your Clerk authentication account is managed separately through Clerk's settings. Deletion may not apply where retention is required by law or for legitimate security purposes.
Security
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the service, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure hosting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
If we become aware of a security incident that requires notification, we will notify affected users and authorities without unreasonable delay and as required by applicable U.S. law.
Your U.S. Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under U.S. privacy laws (for example, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA)) to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal information.
- Right to know/access — you may request information about our collection, use, and sharing of personal information.
- Right to delete — you may request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct — in some cases, you may request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to export — you may request certain portable data where applicable.
- No selling or sharing for advertising — we do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To make a request, contact us through our Support page. We may need to verify your identity before processing requests. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Children
BonusAgent.ai is not directed to children under 18 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected information from a child, we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date.
Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
